Brazilian Lion


Very typical Brazilian accent. Some common mistakes can be seen here, some examples listed below. Can you tell?

"with" - pronouncing "whit", without the the "th"
"standard" pronouncing "standah" without the "rd"
"here" as "heahh"
"all" as "ow"; the "a" in all should sound like an open "o" as in "orbit"
"sorted" as "sort", no "ed"
"have" as "havee"; the last "e" is actually silent
"things" as "sings", not the "th" sound (your tongue between your teeth while saying the "s" sound)
"country" is not "cowntry" (as in cow), it's "cuntry"
"weather", again the "th" sound, this time vocalized, must have the tongue between the teeth or it sounds like a "d"


The problem is in English you don't pronounce what you read, and we're trained to visualize the words. That just doesn't work in English.
